At Botshabelo, our philosophy is to help anyone who needs it, regardless of background or age. If someone comes to us for help, we can’t turn them away, whether they are an adult, a child or even an animal. Our goal is to alleviate poverty and be the model village of Africa. Everyone at Botshabelo – the founders, the villagers, students and volunteers – lives and works together as a family towards that goal. We are dedicated and optimistic. Thank you guys for taking care of those kids affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. I just watched the documentary on ABC1 about the good work you are doing. I must say I was deeply touched by the support you are providing to these kids and their families. Being an activist and communist during apartheid era just shows how far you come from in working with the poor and disadvantaged blacks. I'm just studying my Master in Development Studies in Australia, and having worked with the community projects dealing with the such national issues such as HIV/AIDS and other poverty related matters, I must say thet I hope our government will learn more from this documentary.
I wish you all the best in your fight against this dreaded disease and keep up the good work. We need organisations like yours in our beautiful country.

I was so saddened and inspired by the article I saw on ABC TV last night (in Australia).... about your little community and the wonderful work you are doing there. What an increadible difference you are making to these little one's (and their parent's) lives..... Awe inspiring.... truly!! I was trying to find a link to post to my facebook wall..... (I am sure with more exposure, we could drum up a whole lot more support for you all. Please keep me in touch with news.. and blogs... I would love to be able to help... in whatever way I am able.
